“Understanding Tibet” organized by Department of Political Science and History

“Understanding Tibet”

 The department of Political Science and History, School of Business Studies and Social Sciences, Bannerghatta Campus Christ University organized ‘Understanding Tibet’ on 1 & 2 March 2017. The objective of the programme was to enhance students understanding of the history and contemporary aspects of Tibet. The programme was conducted over two days. On March 1, the documentary ‘the Sun behind the clouds’ was screened. On 2 March 2017, lecture and interactive sessions were organized.During the lecture Mr.TashiWangdu, a former Diplomat and Civil Servant of the Central Tibetan Administration discussed the strategic and political importance of Tibet for India and Mr.LobsangYeshi, Tibetan parliamentarian spoke about the Tibetan culture and society. The lecture was followed by an interactive session where students of made their observation, questions and comments. The programme was attended by 2^nd Semester MEP, 2^nd Semester EPH and 4^th Semester Economic H (A and B).
